Using the Magnetic Counter Weight removes the need to constantly hold the steering wheel however this also removes the safety warning and the safety disengage from taking affect for care and attention must always be paid when using this product.
We cannot be liable for the misuse of this product and we would ask anyone who buys this product to always pay attention when driving and always be ready to take over from Autopilot. Bypassing the need to have your hands on the steering wheel is dangerous if you are not always paying attention to the road and other road users.
I personally would not use this product is my own Tesla Y given the potential dangers however I do accept that this is a product we are constantly being asked for but we would ask any Tesla owner buying this product to use it with due care and attention and remember Autopilot is a driving aid and cannot always make the right decisions and that can put you and your passengers in danger.
